AGM followed by refreshments and a lecture on 'Perceptions of Japan, Its gardens and landscapes' by Dr. Roger White

Roger's life has been dominated by gardens since his father was a chief nurseryman for the GLC based at Kenwood. While specialising in Roman gardens, he has always been particularly fascinated by trees and used to propagate bonsai. A trip to Japan was the opportunity of a lifetime to see how the Japanese blend gardens into their lives, homes, temples and cities. This talk shares his images, experiences and reflections on this fascinating country.
